Intralase
Intralase LASIK is a recent technology used for the treatment of refractive errors such as myopia, hyperopia, or astigmatism. Intralase LASIK enables the surgeon to make a bladeless flap (with a thin laceration, a tiny lid is opened on top of the cornea) in the required quality by laser beams controlled by a computer. Opening the flap is the most important part of the operation and affects its success of the operation. Making the flap by laser beams instead of a blade minimizes the risks. Intralase LASIK allows for making a custom-made flap for the patient, thus increasing the success of the operation.
