JCI (Joint Commission International) Accreditation Certificate
Dünyagöz Hospitals Group has proved that it provides its patients with services at internationally accepted healthcare quality standards, and therefore was honored to be accredited by JCI American Health Institute Quality Commission for its quality of patient care and organization management.
About JCI (Joint Commission International)
Accreditation is a formal process by which a healthcare institution's compliance with predetermined and published standards is assessed and approved, often by a non-governmental organization. JCI is an international and non-profit section of JCAHO (Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations), which is the world's largest accreditor, having accredited nearly 18,000 healthcare institutions in the USA. There are only 72 hospitals in 18 countries which have been accredited by JCI as of today.
Dünyagöz Hospitals Group was audited by JCI officials on 17-18 July 2006 and received its accreditation certificate after a successful audit process.
Why JCI Accreditation Standards?
- The quality system was developed for healthcare services.
- Focus is on the quality of patient care and patient safety.
- They have been developed by healthcare providers.
- They include meaningful and viable processes.
- Service processes are based on scientific and legal rules.
- They are observable, measurable and open for constant improvement.
- They help to raise the quality level.
- JCI reviews its international patient safety targets annually and identifies new targets to ensure patient safety and protection against potential risks. It shares these targets with the institutions it has accredited, and makes relevant practices mandatory.
- JCI standards cover the process starting from the moment a patient enters the hospital to the time of discharge, as well as the recovery period.
ISO 9001 Quality Management System
ISO 9001 Quality Management System is focused on ensuring that customers receive non-erroneous services. For this purpose, the Quality Management System continuously checks the service units and minimizes errors.
It also identifies the minimum conditions of the Quality Management System required by organizations to implement the system effectively, ensure customer satisfaction, develop continuous improvement processes and avoid errors or mistakes.
In October 2007, Dünyagöz Hospital successfully completed the ISO 9001 Quality Management System Certification Audit conducted by TUV-SUD and was granted an ISO 9001 Quality Management System certificate by TUV-SUD.
