If necessary, additional tests may be requested. In case everything is suitable, the surgeon and anesthesiologist decide on the process and method of the anesthesia together.
Anesthesia process and psychology in children
First of all, parents have a great responsibility. Children can understand the tension of their parents and this can cause them to worry more. Children need to be informed appropriately instead of hiding the surgery so that they can get through this process more easily. Children who are knowledgeable about the surgical process will have less anxiety. In addition, relaxing drugs can be given to the child to overcome the moment of separation from the mother and father.
Children, who are taken into surgery in colorful surgical gowns and, if conditions are suitable, in battery cars, are put to sleep in the company of the anesthesiologist and prepared for the surgery. After all the post-operative stages are completed and his functions are restored, he is taken out of the operating room to his room. After being followed up in the service for a while and the final checks are made by the anesthesiologist and surgeon who operated, the children are safely discharged.
