The 2015 Winter Meeting of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS), one of the most important ophthalmology organizations in the world, took place in Istanbul for the first time this year. Before and after the conference, which was held on 20-22 February 2015, Prof. Ioannis Pallikaris hosted the world-renown physicians at a dinner and breakfast organization.
The dinner was given at TOPAZ restaurant before the meeting on 20 February, and attended by important members including the Medical Director of Dünyagöz Hospital Prof. Ioannis Pallikaris, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dünyagöz Hospital Eray Kapıcıoğlu and ESCRS President Roberto Bellucci. The dinner took place in a very warm atmosphere and was followed by a breakfast organized on 22 February, Sunday at Dünyagöz Etiler for the ESCRS President and members. ESCRS members took a tour at the hospital, examined the latest devices and treatment methods and were impressed by what they saw.
Regarding this special organization, Medical Director of Dünyagöz Hospital Prof. Ioannis Pallikaris said, “I am very happy that ESCRS, of which I am a former president, held a meeting in Istanbul for the first time and I have really enjoyed hosting its members, the world’s greatest ophthalmologists, for two days. Most important of all, I have had the opportunity to present our hospital’s technological infrastructure and architecture to them. ESCRS members were really impressed by our infrastructure and I was very proud to hear my colleagues’ praising words for the services that we provide at Dünyagöz Hospitals Group.”
