iLASIK LASER

About Refractive Surgery

Laser surgery, the most common method of refractive surgery worldwide, is also used to treat myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism. With these procedures, you can eliminate the need for glasses or contact lenses.

What is iLASIK?

Worldwide, 80% of people suffer from refractive errors.
Refractive surgery, which has been performed since the 1980s and provides the most reliable results for correcting refractive errors, is primarily done using laser technology. With advances in medical technology, it is now possible to correct vision problems such as myopia (difficulty seeing far), hyperopia (difficulty seeing near), and astigmatism (blurred vision) using laser treatment.

The goal of laser treatment is to improve quality of life and enhance visual comfort. Today, the most widely used method for correcting refractive errors globally is iLASIK (Laser Assisted In-Situ Keratomileusis). This personalized treatment is planned based on detailed examinations and tailored to the structure of each patient's eye.

Who is Eligible for iLASIK?

• Individuals over the age of 18
• Those with myopia up to -10 diopters, hyperopia up to +6, and astigmatism up to 4 diopters
• Patients with a sufficiently thick corneal layer
• Patients without systemic diseases such as diabetes or rheumatism

iLASIK can be performed on patients whose eye structure is deemed suitable after a comprehensive pre-operative examination and testing.

How is the iLASIK Procedure Performed?

With iLASIK, the entire procedure is customized for the patient using Wavefront and iDesign technologies. Even the smallest vision imperfections can be corrected with the help of an advanced eye-tracking system. The use of a femtosecond laser allows for bladeless incisions, improving the safety and effectiveness of the procedure.
