Neurovision Treatment
Neurovision in Lazy Eye Syndrome
Neurovision™ treatment
The patient’s suitability is determined through a detailed eye examination.
Patients between the ages of 10-55, whose level of vision is above 15-20% and whose level of refractive error is below 8 prism diopters and who have no other eye pathologies that may hinder vision, are considered to be suitable for treatment.
How is the Neurovision™ treatment applied?
The first session of the patient who is considered to be suitable for treatment is performed at the hospital by their doctor. The treatment consists of approximately 40 sessions and each session lasts approximately 30-40 minutes.
After the initial session is applied by their ophthalmologist at the hospital, the patient may apply the rest of the treatment themselves through the computer program provided to them, at home, or if they can create a suitable environment, at work.
After 1-2 sessions of Neurovision™ application, the patient’s level of vision is perceived by the program and, based on this data recorded in the computer, customized for the patient exercises are generated after each session. The patient begins applying these exercises. The visual acuity and contrast sensitivity information entered into the system by the doctor after monthly controls ensure the determination of the development of the customized treatment process.
What are the Neurovision™ treatment stages?
For the treatment to be successful, the sessions should be applied 3 days a week (every other day) for 40 minutes.
The doctor’s control examination is necessary after the 5th, 10th, 20th, and 40th sessions to observe the progress of the patient’s treatment. Results of the treatment can be achieved within 3-4 months through regular sessions and doctor’s control examinations.
